<p>Just saw this article linked in another CC thread --just one reporter's opinion, I think, but some nice positive (and well-deserved) press here for The University of Iowa, as well as a few other Big Ten schools...pretty good company to be included in:</p>

<p>All sounds like great news, if the projects are passed I wonder how long will it take for construction to start and end.</p>
<p>No new dorms since 68?? 42 years? That seems unbelievable but also explains why the rooms we’ve seen all seem to have that Soviet style cinderblock look.</p>
<p>And while I’d love to have spanking new dorms I am more grateful for the remarkable number of new and redone buildings on campus, like the biomedical research building and the Seamans engineering building.</p>
<p>I never thought of Iowa City being in southeast Iowa. Of course, I didn’t pay too much attention to it because I went to the OTHER university in Iowa.</p>
