Omg, Zoltan has the option on EVERY punt to run or kick…It is his read, and he admitted he read wrong…RR should have to baby an all american punter telling him he has to kick when it has worked right in the past every time

If its open, he should run it no matter where its at…No matter how brainwashed you are, its on Zoltan, not the coach. The coaches don’t make the reads on the field, players do…Even my school’s JV punter has the option to run or kick…Its his read, not the coaches

“RR should have to baby an all american punter telling him he has to kick when it has worked right in the past every time”
Sure he doesn’t. And watch his all american punter **** up.

“If its open, he should run it no matter where its at”
Really? if you are punting in the end zone, would you run it and risk a safety? Risk vs reward people. It’s not hard to understand.

If its truly open, which should be the only time he runs, then what is the risk of a safety…

A coach can only do so much to put the team in a good position to win. Ultimately, its up to the players until U of M hires the almighty bearcats as coach

“It’s RR and Zoltan’s fault. There.”
My point exactly. Did I say it’s NOT Zoltan’s fault? I am angry at the fact that RR did not claim a tiny bit of responsibility during the post-game press conference and push the ENTIRE blame onto Zoltan.

Obviously he should have made sure Zoltan wouldn’t do that. Maybe he thought he had enough sense not to do that? Maybe he told Zoltan to run if it looked open. Zoltan was 2/2 last year though. he should have ran to the other side. My point is there were other things that cost us the game, like Stonum’s fumble that basically lost us 7 points to Zoltan’s 3.

I think you are missing my point here. you dont throw your player under the bus and blame him entirely for something that you are at least partially at fault for.

Ummmm, actually no. I am a real fan and will support whatever coach we have, regardless of our record. I still think, if given enough time, we could win Big Ten titles under him. However, I don’t think he will be given the time. I am not totally confident in him anymore, but I’m not jumping ship like most of the other “fans.”

this is what we, people in trading, call a “sucker”. You like a bet, you go with it. If you lose enough, you cut loss.
3-12 big ten record is a pretty big loss and that’s when you cut loss. The “sucker” gets stuck with their original bet and doesn’t know when to cut loss and end up bankrupt.

It’s only been 2 years! It’s a loss so far, but there’s a good chance it will turn around. I hate these spoiled, stupid UM fans who think that the team owes them a Rose Bowl every year. Don’t be a fair weather fan. Either root for the team at all times or go jump on another team’s bandwagon.
