<p>CMU is the only school on my son's ultra-selective list that actually sent an email specifcally addressed to the parents.</p>
<p>Guess which one now is at the top of MY list?</p>
<p>Did it say, “Here’s some CHEAP things to do with your newly found empty nest and $40,000 less to spend a year!”?</p>
<p>(Weirdest e-mail I got from a college was four years after I turned down RPI for undergrad they sent me an e-mail asking me to apply there for grad school.)</p>
<p>Ha! More like what to do with $53K less to spend a year.</p>
<p>And I can tell you, as a parent, there are alot of reasons for CMU to be at the top of your list (except for the price).</p>
<p>Man, I’m lucky I went through while I did. No way I could afford CMU at their current sticker price. :(</p>
