"No Access " vs MyUCLA page shows up - My Theory?

I have a theory. I just had 2 of my friends try the MyUCLA Thing who JUST made their accounts. Both had No Access, but one has superb credentials that seems just out of the norm to not get accepted.

On the other hand, I signed up for an ID 3 days ago and got into the page. I got "Biochem Admit College of L&S".

My theory is that people who sign up a few days ago can get in while people who JUST signed up don't.

Someone either prove or disprove this theory. Thanks.

i just signed up and didn’t get a noaccess.

i signed up like 3 days ago as well.
got no access.
but it’s probably just cause of my horrible stats.

I JUST created an account, and I had access to the MyUCLA page and all. Eh.

Made an account a few days ago, no access :/

i really really hope it shows no access for a majority of us because ucla couldn’t reset everyone’s MyUCLA page at one time… and hopefully they come out gradually and we soon realize that we can see our major after initially being unable to gain access…
(fingers crossed)

Does this mean, whoever has “No Access” are rejected?

they reseted mine and I come here already. It was asking me if I wanted to change the color and picture or whatever.

Made account sometime back … NO ACCESS … So I guess your theory is incorrect ?

I created my account last week and got no access so unfortunatey I believe your theory may be incorrect

If the top right corner says your major, school, and year, then I think you can safely assume you are in.

do you need to kno your ucla id number when you create the new account? or has anyone checked the button at the bottom saying that you have none of the information, and still got in?

No, you create using the UC application ID.

you have to create the account by selecting admit student not the bottom choicce that says none of the above

I mistakenly ticked the bottom one then I got “no access.”
Then I did the first one, and still “no access.”

I believe that most of us get “No Access” because our decision has not been updated yet. This is probably due to late submission of the application, or because UCLA got your material late. As for those who might be possible rejects, their decision might be updated just before they ‘flip the switch’, or because it is tied to another account/system/server.

Hell, it seems as if my Last name and First name has been interchanged. If I try the correct combination I entered for my application, I get a error message.

someone is in denial

^ let’s hope so (@ shadow’s post)

@ duckedtape: I fully acknowledge the fact that I may have very well been rejected. All that I have done is post my opinion on this matter. I am in no way trying to soften the blow for myself and raise false hopes for possible rejects.

I hope so, all you should have just waited. Its just more nerve racking now that you kind of know your fate.
