Looks like some kids got their Dec scores and many, many did not on this first release day. Anyone have experience with not getting their scores right away? Does ACT usually get the rest out in the second batch? The website says they release on Wed and Fridays but, with the holiday, some scores released today and I don’t know if they will have another bunch release just one day later (tomorrow-Fri). Really don’t want to wait until Wed. Ugh. Hoping to make a decision on whether D21 should pivot to SAT and wanted this upcoming second week of break to start studying.
We were wondering the release date as well. Have noticed some web posts noting they enter scores on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are hoping if Thursday they will be out late tonight.
I just called and they said they will release some scores tomorrow. Time is always 1:00 est so for us that’s midnight tonight. No guarantee the score will be there but glad they are at least sending out another batch. Next one after that is Wed.
From the ACT’s twitter account, it looks like they have changed the release date of scoring of multiple choice tests to a date range from December 26 - February 7th???
Thanks for checking homerdog. Hoping son’s is in this next group.
@nanosec it’s been that date range for the last week or so. They released some today 12/26 and not the usual Wed because yesterday was Christmas. Like I said, they will release more tomorrow and then Wednesdays and Fridays through the end of that period. Our D got October’s score right away. I was under the impression that the vast majority of scores come on the first day but it seems a huge percentage did not this time. The next test is Feb 8th so it’s ridiculous if they don’t get the scores to people in the next week here. How can anyone plan?
Looking at the comments in the ACT Student facebook session, it looks like they released some additional scores this evening.
Thanks. Still nothing but weird that they are trickling out. Now I’ll have to keep checking. Lol.
I think this happens way more than people realize. DS20 took it in September and didn’t get his score back until two and half weeks after the initial release date! He knew he had raised his score and done well and that he wanted to use it for EA schools. It all turned out ok because he received a score he was happy with on 10/11 and he could self-report or send within a short time of deadline. But I was SO stressed because ACT customer service could tell me nothing helpful! All they would say is that his score wasn’t flagged but it had not been graded yet and they didn’t know when they would grade it! I hope you don’t have to wait a long time- so frustrating when you want the score.
Geez. Now D is saying she’s not 100 percent sure she wrote down the right email address on the test. Everything else would of course match up. I hope that’s not part of the problem. Just have to wait.
S21’s Dec scores posted sometime today, they were there around 7pm…which is the first time he checked, because, well, he’s a boy ?
My child’s scores weren’t posted at 1 ET but she checked again around 7pm and they were. Seems like they released a big group of scores tonight.
Still nothing!
My son just got his score this afternoon. Took the test in CO. He (nor I) received any notification. He just kept checking the website.
No score this morning. Well there goes the plan to get a tutor on board next week and to decide if she should stick with ACT or move to SAT. I’m furious. This break is the only time she has free of school to work on this. Now we have to wait and she can’t do any studying for either until she gets a score???
How does your D feel she did on the test? If she thinks it was just ok, I’d have her start some more practice tests. If she thinks she nailed it, then enjoy vacation.
Well last time she thought she nailed it and did not so that’s not a good gauge. She’s already studied a LOT so we are hiring a tutor to nail down where she needs to focus and to give advice on switching to SAT. Can’t do anything until we have the score. She could have done exactly the same as Oct or she could have hit what she does on practice tests which is four to five points higher.
My fingers are crossed for the score to come today, so you can plan! How frustrating. I totally understand about the study time. It’s so limited with the intensity of school and EC’s.
