So I just finished the New Student Orientation Educational Planner 2013 survey and was about to register for a student orientation but it said "There are no available New First Year sessions. Please contact the UCLA New Student & Transition Programs at (310) 206-6685."

What happens after you contact them? Does this also mean that there's a lower chance that I will get the classes that I need?

Wow, you are sure behind. Most people signed for orientation the first day it opened, literally 7 dates were taken before a week had ended. Either way, first thing you should do is contact them there may be openings. People tend to drop their spots so there may still be an opening just give a call as they do not re-list openings online again. You do not have a lower chance of getting classes, just call and reserve a spot they will probably have an opening though it may be late August dates. It does not matter which orientation date you’re assigned to, a number of classes are reserved for each orientation dates so everyone has an equal chance of getting their desired classes (though many would argue against this).
