NO Biology in high school. Will it hurt in college admission?

In his school kids can pretty much take anything as long as they can pass qualifying exams.

i say tell him to take the ap bio exam as an independent or even take the class online. http://www.flvs.net

carbfreenoodles: haha..im actually taking a class online on FLVS. honestly, its pretty good to take a class online, because you work on your own pace (you can even work faster than your pace says to) and tests/assignments are a lot easier than they are in the classroom.

Does your son have an interest in science?

If not, then he should follow his passions.

If yes, he should do something outside of school. He can volunteer at a lab or something. Look at me. I love science, but I am on the regular track for it(even though I qualified for the honors track. got some messed up people in my h.s.). I wasn't bothered by it because I decided I to pursuit it outside of school. Now, this summer I am volunteering at the lab of a prof at local LAC doing research. See how things work out. I'm sure they will work out for your son, too.
