No Business/Econ experience and applying for MBA: What to do?

Hey all,

So, i'm looking to pursue an MBA but i've not taken any business/econ classes as an undergrad.

Are their any unwritten "required" classes that they look for in reviewing your application?

Also, i've heard that 1-2 years work experience is key for MBA admission. What type of work experience is this? are they referring to something business related or can be it anything?

Thanks for all the info everyone.

Don’t bother.

That’s what they teach you in your MBA courses. Why would you think you already need to know the subject before you are taught it?

Generally calculus, though some here will dispute that. It was so in my case.

It can be anything. What they want to see is that you’ve selected a career and that a business education would assist you in advancing that career.
