So I didn’t receive a Cal Grant award for SLO, but I received a Cal Grant award for UCI. Why did I not get Cal Grant for SLO? Is it still possible to ask for a Cal Grant award some how?
Often only one school is listed as the Cal Grant school, but once you SIR a school, then that one will get the Cal Grant.
did your SLO award show a univ grant of about $6k? If so, then that will be switched to a Cal Grant if you choose that school.
The Cal Grant award only shows up for one of the UC’s/CSU’s you’re admitted to, but it will be applied at whichever California school you pick . . . although, obviously, the amount will be different if you choose SLO. Contact the SLO financial aid office to find out exactly what your award will be.
