No chance at UCSD, UCSB, UCI, SLO?

Im a Korean male senior from SoCal.
I have a really low gpa. I have a 3.27 a-g gpa which sucks because I had a 4.0 my freshman year. I took my first act during sept. And I got a 32 composite score. I got a 5 in enviro and a 4 in world history. Im taking ap comp sci, ap gov/eccon, and ap physics 1 this year.
Ive played baseball every year but I dont have tons of Comunity Service.
My question is if im shooting too high for these schools.
I know my super reach schools are ucsd and slo but I am hoping I can get into either Irvine or Santa Barbara.
What would be more realistic choices? I am willing to go out of state for better schools.
I will be retaking my act and taking my first sat in oct.

BUMP. Anyone?

First you need to calculate your UC GPA, see link: <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
For SLO (only), you are in luck, use your 9th grade a-g courses without extra honors/AP points in the calculation.
Your ACT looks on target but your GPA is well below the 25th percentile for all the schools. SLO also uses a alogrithm program with bonus points for extra Science/Math/Language/Englishi and Art classes above the minimum required, see link: http://digitalcommons.calpoly.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1014&context=statsp&sei-redir=1&referer=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%3Fp%3Dcal%2Bpoly%2Bslo%2Bmca%26fr%3Dipad#search=“cal%20poly%20slo%20mca”

You do not state your intended major, which can make a difference. Unless your UC GPA comes out to around 3.8 or higher, all schools are reaches. There is no harm in applying, just make sure you have some Match and Safety schools on your list.

You need to consider some possible Matches such as UCR/UCM and High Match UCSC and possible Cal States such as CSUF, CSULB, CPP. If you are interested in OOS, the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) offers reduced tuition to students from the Western states at the listed schools, see another link: <a href=“Save On College Tuition | Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)”>http://wiche.edu/wue

I can relate with your gpa at the moment. My unweighted is 3.3. From what I’ve been told, I have little to no chance for UC’s unless I somehow receive a far above average on my ACT score and/or write a really good personal statement. Goodluck with you man, we’re in the same ship.
