no dorm?

is there any other freshman, besides me, who weren't able to get a dorm room?

mine just says

Your room type is .
Your meal plan is .

im scared, does that mean i didnt get a dormroom?

that's what mine says. i didn't think i'll be getting a dorm room since i submitted my license agreement on the 17th so i rented a room at a house located 2 miles away.

the 17th of which month?

may i think.

gene u can try emailing the housing ppl and ask them about your situation
mine has a . for meal plan too, but i doubt it means they're not giving me any meal plan, maybe its just they're still deciding n workin it out

julie how much does your rent for the room cost for a month? n if u include food cost n all that is it gonna be worth to live outside or the dorms better?

550 a month utilities all included. and since ill be there for 10 months itll be 5500 and i dont really know how much im gonna spend on food... so...

Gene and anyone else still unclear of their housing situation, forget email. Forget waiting. Pick up the phone and call. Get a clarification so you can make a decision what to do. It could be an oversight that you will be bringing to their attention. You may be on a waiting list. Find out where you are on that list and if historically people in that position eventually get housing before the semester starts. Find out if they place people during the early part of the semester if there are drops, so you know whether to commit to housing elsewhere. If they tell you it is hopeless (something you will want to know now) ask for recommendations for off campus housing. This is not a situation that should be left to email. My daughter has a friend who is similarly situated and the housing office told her she is very close to the top of the waiting list and it is highly likely she will get housing. She is still ver concerned and exploring alternatives. Good luck.
