I can't seem to get the no error questions right on the sentence ID questions, which is really annoying. I seem to be overanalysing sentences that are right and picking non grammatical errors. Does someone know how I can avoid these mistakes. Other than that my writing section is fine

If your proofreading and grammar skills are as good as you think, then you should be able to catch errors as soon as you read the sentence.

The strategy I used was this: If I did not detect any errors the first time I read the sentence, then I would read it again slowly to make sure that everything is correct. And if I caught nothing during the 2nd read, I would consider the sentence perfect. If you want to avoid overanalyzing, try not to invent or make up mistakes in your mind; just see what is there. Don’t create “non grammatical errors” in your mind by rereading the sentence too much.

If it is early on in the section and you don’t catch an error on the first read-through, mark no error. If you’re near the end, err on the side of error and reread a few times.
