No Financial Aid for 5th Yr Seniors at UPenn?

@MYOS1634 “Perhaps I shouldn’t worry”

Yes, don’t worry! Your child is heading into a very exciting moment in his/her life. Be happy and excited for your child. It will all be resolved. Don’t worry.

It’s hard when you see a schedule with two semesters at 7 credits and two semesters at 6.5, and you learn there’s no financial aid for a 5th year if that insane schedule doesn’t work out. It seemed to be more than the required number of credits which is how I learned “no double counting” (IE., physics 150 doesn’t count for natural science, SSH is separate from global diversity…)

@MYOS1634 I understand how you feel but realize your child is not the only incoming student in this situation. SFS is working on figuring it out for you all. Be patient, don’t worry. If nothing is resolved by the time school starts, that’d be more concerning, but stay patient for now.

Yes, I hope you’re right.
It just doesn’t sound “Penn’s style” to admit students to degrees they cannot complete.
Thanks.
