YES! MEEEEE. I'm a Chinese-Canadian but a permanent resident and soon to be citizen of the US, and I totally thought that Rooster (juice. Sorry I can't help it.)

YEah... even I thought it refered to the immigration stuff...

i thought that too!!! glad that i'm not alone.

If you have not received a green card, I will be happy to mail you my "We received your deposit" card. I have a few extras.

let's just pour gas on the fire. :)

Hmm... or if you'd like a green card, I'm considering selling mine on ebay seeing as it's apparently become such as desirable commodity in the past 48 hours...

@ OP:
I called the admissions office today, and they told me the EXACT same thing. I don't know how it's a good thing, but whatever.

see.... i'm not the only one... anyone else have this sort of thing happen?

like anyone call the admissions office and they tell you that it is a "good sign" or they "hint" that you are a likely admit?

besides Def890, anyone else?

i'm glad i'm not the only one... i'm getting a bit paranoid about this...

i really hope it means a good thing!!!

i got a green card immediately after i applied. is that bad??? i also got my login before i finished my second part (back in november)

i sincerely doubt it, considering that i got my green card in january, long before, i'm sure, any decisions were really made. the secretary probably just wanted to quell your fears so you wouldn't freak out

come on people, are you serious?

^ whatever helps the nerves is fine with me

by "good thing", they mean that all your stuff is in

I called the admissions office today and I got the EXACT same message as Def890 and psmitty from the person who i talked to. She sounded really cheery and told me that "there was no reason for me to worry at all about my decision" repeatedly and even asked me how my senior year is going and furthermore gave me a list of numbers to call if I would like to find out anything more about the academic/extracurricular opportunities available at Penn.

?

I might have to assasinate this dictator.

lol i ditto that venus

well, i guess we'll find out on thurs
