No interview?

Hi! I'm applying to Davison RD. I looked on their website for info about interviews, and there wasn't really anything. I also browsed CC, but people said that Davidson didn't do admissions interviews. Is this correct? (I can't visit, so it would have to be an interview in my area, not like an on-campus thing.)

Thank you!

I visited Davidson this summer, and the closest thing to an interview that I could do was a “one-on-one” information session. It was very informal, and, unlike an interview, was not about me answering questions the admissions counselor asked me. Quite the opposite. Instead, I exhausted about a million questions I had about Davidson, mostly about the application process and how I could be a strong applicant.
Your admissions representative has probably come to your area to do information sessions if you’re near a big city. I wouldn’t worry about it, though. It’s mostly just to help you understand Davidson better and to see if you’re a fit.

Yeah they do not offer evaluative interviews. But I mean everyone is on the same playing field as far as that goes, regardless of whether or not you have done a one-on-one information session. Definitely visit the school if you haven’t yet; they like demonstrated interest.

Okay thanks for your responses! I won’t be able to visit the school yet, but I may be doing so later on, in the spring.

We visited and were told they do no interviews. Went to the full group info session since there were no 1:1 info sessions that day. Had a nice chat with state rep when he visited locally in school visit. But apparently they don’t count the personal interactions in an effort to be fair to the students who can’t get there as part of application process.

Thanks for your response, creativecrew! At this point, that’s great for me since I can’t get to NC right now haha :)
