No Loan Financial Aid

To everyone who is worrying about financial aid, even though CMC already was one of the best, here's to you.

March 17, 2008

To Students, Faculty, and Staff from President Gann:

I am pleased to inform you that the College will move forward on a new policy to eliminate student loans from financial aid packages for all current and entering students, effective in fall 2008. The policy was approved during the March 14 meeting of the Claremont McKenna College Board of Trustees.

This important move makes CMC one of only three colleges with endowments under $600 million to implement such a comprehensive no-loan program for incoming and existing students, and reinforces the College’s belief in the importance of educational access for all students, regardless of their financial circumstances.

I hope you will visit the CMC Web site, at News Release, News and Events, Claremont McKenna College for additional information regarding this timely and important announcement.

YESSSSSSSS!! Just another reason to love CMC!

Well If I get in, I'm going. This was the only thing keeping me from making CMC my first choice.

I love this school!! *sigh. If only I could get in...

about time!!!

aw what! I wish they would have decided this earlier. I didn't apply for financial aid because my dad doesn't like the idea of loans. if I'd known this, I'd have definitely applied for FA! does anyone know if students can apply for financial aid before their sophomore year?
