I haven’t submitted my application to Brown yet, but when I asked for my teacher recommendations earlier in the year, I thought I was going to apply for the PLME program and included that as info to consider in my rec letter, so I’m pretty sure at least one of my teachers mentioned it. Thing is, I don’t want to do the PLME program (I’m reconsidering medicine as a whole) anymore, so should I submit my application without it and explain everything in my interview or push through and do the extra essays and say I’m trying to enter the program anyways?
If you don’t want to do PLME, then don’t apply for that program. You don’t know if the teacher mentioned it, and een if he did, I don’t think that will confuse admissions – and if you want to play it safe, sent a short note to admissions explaining what you said above. Don’t count on the interview as a way to get the information across. But really – deciding to apply for the program would be a waste of everyone’s time.
