No one from my country went to Dartmouth

Hey,
I am an international student who will be applying for the class 2024. I was considering applying to Dartmouth in the early decision cycle. I was sharing my thoughts with senior studnet in my school. He shocked me with the fact that there is not a single undergrad student in Dartmouth from our country. He told me about a few exceptional students who had been rejected with great stats, ECs, and awards-national and international ones. I knew a student who applied this year and has been waitlisted. Shall I apply or not? (I know that universities do not have students from each country in the world. But my country is a slight big one that has students in all other top 20 universities, what makes me more worried is the fact that Dartmouth has 250+ international students.)
P.S: I know that no matter how qualified a studnet can get, he can be rejected easily. But I mean not a single one?
Shall I apply ED or RD? or shall I not apply?

BTW: I did check the admission statistics on dartmouth for class 2022 and 2021.

If you have the luxury of not having to compare financial aid offers, then apply ED.If you will need to compare offered, apply RD.

Be aware that most top colleges have either a hard or soft cap on the percentage of international undergraduates and that for many of these colleges, the international acceptance rate is half the overall rate. Neither Dartmouth, nor any of its peers, feel the need to accept a student from a certain country just to say that they have representation; you will still need to have a stellar application. Good luck.

Even though Dartmouth is need blind for US students, it is need aware for international. But it is committed to meeting 100% needs if accepted. If you have large financial needs, this could work against you. ED will certainly help your chances (roughly double). Of course double a very small percentage is still very small. No student from our US high school has ever been accepted to Dartmouth. Didn’t stop my D from applying - and getting accepted.
