No response email from Harvard for 2nd interview?

Hi I applied to Harvard RD and I was contacted this last Friday(February 6) by my regions admissions officer being invited for a second interview. She said she wanted to do it with in the next two weeks and I am leaving this upcoming Thursday (Feb. 12) for the UK so I need to do it soon. The problem is I replied only an hour and a half later and it is now Sunday and still no response. Do the admissions officers not check their email over the weekend? Was there some mistake? If anyone has any insight let me know please.

Most adults who work Monday to Friday DO NOT check their work email on the weekends. If you don’t hear anything by Tuesday, I would call Admissions and ask to speak to the officer who contacted you by email.

Really?

Yes; do you disagree?

@gibby, I guess it depends on what kind of job you have. My wife works, and I previously worked, in IT for large global banks. We checked our emails all the time. We didn’t always respond during the weekend, but we read what we thought needed reading.

I’m sure that a majority of people work a more normal schedule (i.e., local business hours) and don’t check.

How did you get a 2nd interview? Does Harvard normally do this for likely applicants? Your prospect of admission must be looking good at Harvard!

^^ Second interviews are usually scheduled when the first interview was inconclusive, or the interview sheet was somehow lost, so it’s not necessarily a “must be looking good” kind of thing.

The administrative offices have been closed these past two days due to the snow so I could not call and I have still not received a reply email. Will they let me do the interview after i return from the UK?

No one here can answer that question. Your best bet is to call Harvard when they reopen tomorrow or Thursday.

We’re you going to do it over Skype with her? If so, perhaps you can do it from the UK.

I just got contacted for a second interview as well. I’m incredibly nervous. Any tips? What kind of questions do they ask???
