No SAT subject tests for early action?

Hi guys:

I think I've read on the Gtwn University website that if I apply early, I don't have to fulfill the SAT subject test requirements (the 3 tests). Is this true?

I have taken world history, us history, and korean (but I'm not really counting Korean since its my native language). I am thinking about taking math II, but am wondering if I even need to take it strictly for gtwn early action. (if I don't, I would probably take it at a later time than planned.)

Thanks :)

No, I got in early action having sent no scores whatsoever. The kids who get in EA are the kids that gtown is sure they would have accepted with only the first three years transcript. Don’t worry about taking math II, if you really want too, take it later.

Math II is a breeze. Take it, and don’t lose much sleep over it.

And while there are plenty of people on CC like mab1990 who talk about getting in EA with no subject tests, but while it is definitely a much more lenient reccomendation in EA, it’s generally advisable to have at least one or two in for EA.

yeah, from what I hear I am the exception, not the rule so try and take the subject tests if you can.

ok so do you think that the tests that I have currently taken so far are enough? Or do you think I should go ahead and take the Math II exam even though I’m not sure I can do well on it?

I would call the admissions office and ask them just to be safe.
From what I understand, if you have taken them (and you have) then you have to send them in for EA. As well, the October scores WILL be delivered in time. I took three of them in June and performed really well on two and averagely on the third. I’m going to send in the two I did well on, and take another in October and send that score in because it will probably be considerably better. But check with the office just to be sure.
