No Senior Math Classes

I've taken Calc AB in junior year and thats the highest math class my school offers. Is it possible to self study for the Calc BC exam or take a Calc BC class at a local college?

Colleges won’t be aware that you’re self-studying for the AP exam because results come out on July so you should mention it somewhere in the apps or something. But I don’t think they can punish you for being ahead of your area. Local college - look for dual enrollment and ask your counselor about it. I was planning on doing that but then I transferred school so.

Do you think it may be too late to sign up for dual enrollment?

For DE, Calc BC=Calc II, which is usually taught as a semester long class. If it’s too late for Fall, you can always sign up for Spring.

Are credits usually transferable to other colleges? And what type of colleges offer calc II to high school seniors? Community college or any 4 year college?

It depends on the college if the credits are transferable or not. If not, you can always take the AP Calc BC exam, which will usually give you college credit.

HS seniors can usually take classes at their local community college. 4 year colleges, it depends. It’s best to check with your local colleges.

Does your school require seniors to take math? (I know mine does)
