No Shave November?

Does anyone get the point of this? If so please explain it to me because I don't get how a how much of people walking around all hairy helps/supports anyone. Isn't it for some cancer or something? I don't get how walking around at your hairiest supports people who have to go through treatment that causes them to lose their hair.

It raises awareness. It’s not like they’re actually funding it.

Ew. I’ll wear one on those little ribbons to raise awareness instead.
Hairy legs and a skirt? Ew. Just plain EW!

Hahaha never thought about women doing no shave november… Suddenly I’m no longer a fan…

Its actually “No shave Novembro.” FTFY

Awareness only does so much…personally I just feel its completely pointeless

It’s just for fun/a joke lol.

It’s Movember over here, and you can either not shave for awareness or try and generate donations from people who pledge money if you don’t shave throughout the month.

It’s not completely pointless, it helps. How much I don’t know, but it’s better than nothing.

In part, it’s really funny.

If you’re going to do it though, you have to do it in a structured way: get ‘sponsors’ to donate the amount of money of their choice. This money then goes directly to whatever cancer foundation you choose.

One teacher who was really popular in my old school raised over $500 (and on the last day, he curled his facial hair into a handlebar mustache).

Ahh . . . no shaving of mustaches for November: Movember. I had almost forgotten. Last year I recall walking around thinking how many guys looked like cheesy porn stars. But it is all just to raise awareness of prostrate cancer. Personally, a ribbon would have been enough for me too.

Wow y’all states do it right. People here just do it for the heck of it.

if girls do it…shudders

but i might do it, always wanted a nice goatee and french mustache…

In my area, no shave November means guys don’t shave their facial hair. It doesn’t apply to girls. That’d be weird.
