No SS# or ACT ID on test...

Hey guys, I was just helping my friend send her ACT scores online when she informed me that her proctor had told her that, since she doesn't have a SS # (she's an international student), she could just leave that space blank. So she did not put her ACT ID # in the appropriate blank. I seem to remember hearing that this would delay scores- which would be a problem since she is applying to colleges this year- is this true? What will happen if an ACT does not have a SS or ACT ID # on it???

Please help- she's really worried about this.

She should just call ACT.

The proctor was an idiot. Yes, this will delay matching the answer document to your friend's registration information, which would cause a delay in initial reporting, anywhere from a couple days to a few weeks. Once the scores first become available, though, there's no delay for additional score reports. Calling ACT probably won't help.

Thanks, thats kind of what I thought. I guess there isn't much to do at this point but wait...

Hi,
I am international applying for this yr also. I called ACT couple of days back and looks like I don't have my scores either. What they told me is that the scores are corrected randomly so it can take 2-3 weeks or even 7 weeks and every Tuesday the center gets new scores. I sent my scores priority through the online form placing 0s instead of SSN or ID. Hopefully the scores will arrive soon!

I also called ACT today and they told me that not putting an ACT ID on the test may delay scores, but they should be done with all scoring by the end of March and scores are mailed out 2-3 days after scoring. They also informed me that my friend's test was being graded today and she will receive her scores by the end of the week. I hope you get your scores soon, Elisa, and good luck with your applications!
