I have a problem. I have not taken subject tests, I am signed up to take them in November. Most of the schools I am applying to be matched to require 2 subject tests when sending in all of the other stuff...What do I do?

I have the same problem! I don’t know if I should opt-out or still submit the match agreement form. I’d rather opt-out and get it ready than let the college review all my stuffs and disqualify that I won’t have my SAT Subject scores until late Nov. But if there’s anyway I can submit the match agreement form without being disqualified because of the lack of SAT Subject tests, that’d be AWESOME.

Can anyone answer this?

Gengster, I just emailed QB about it, hopefully I’ll get a response today, as I need to turn this in tomorrow if I’m gonna do it.

I haven’t taken the sat II subject tests either, and since I have not reviewed on the subjects, I decided not to take them. My memory with terms and names is worst possible. Thus, I doubt I would get a good score on them – getting a score of 600s is not something that would work in your favor. Also, many of the subjects on the test is not something that I excel in – they lacked European History… Lastly, being a full IB student, my coursework is already semi-killing me and I won’t have time to study both sat II, ACT retake, and do my IB essays. Therefore, I decided that I would only apply for the ones that don’t require sat II. I mean, does it matter? If you win and get a full ride to any of those schools, isn’t it for the best?

Also, I didn’t register… was debating for around 2 days rather or not I should… I figured that I shouldn’t… and I’m broke… so I don’t really want to pay for the late fee and all… especially if I would be doing bad on it…

ps. I just found out about that certain colleges requires sat II some 1 week ago from a classmate that is also doing questbridge… so, i was too late. My school doesn’t require us to take sat II or sat. We just took ACT + writing… I did know about sat II around half year ago. However, I though it was just an extra to the sat test… o well… I’m going for Brown

It doesn’t really matter as long as you rush your scores it’s not a biggy, your test scores are going to go to the school directly as long as you call them then your fine, like my friend says “stop stressing” as long as your taking the tests in november you’ll be fine. I myself am taking the sat subject tests november and the schools i’m applying to are fine with it.

Yeah, gengster, I got an email back from QB.
They say to proceed with the matches, and if chosen as a finalist, be sure to just include a separate piece of paper stating you’ll be taking subject tests in Nov, somewhere along with your other documents.

I think if you don’t include your subject test scores (which you obviously can’t if you haven’t taken them), then I would say that their decision might be delayed… They can’t consider your application complete. Questbridge suggested several times that you already be working on supplemental materials. That includes LOOKING at the list of things you have to have and the deadlines for those things. I would say that these colleges might be a little less forgiving than questbridge.
To james: brown doesn’t require SAT II if you’ve taken the ACT/writing. only if you just took the SAT. It’s weird, but that’s the rule.

strikeb4ck: very helpful!
i’ve got the same problem…does it matter/justify/qualify more if I’m 15?
