BC is one of the few colleges I have come across that does not have an additional essay other than that on the main commonapp. Does this mean they are more numbers and scores oriented and essays don’t count as much?

i was thinking the same thing. i have no idea.

that, or maybe because they get so many applicants

maybe they don't want to add to the "ridiculous" number of essays people already have to write?

if you want, put a supplemental essay in the "additional information" section. that's what i did, and i was accepted.

I sent in a supplemental essay for kick. I'm sure that bugged the hell out of my application reader. They don't encourage additional reading material, but they will read them if sent. But if the material adds nothing to the application it might be a mark against you so be careful.

or they just throw it out and dont read it

personally when i found out they didnt have an essay, i squealed with excitement a little inside

^^^exactly.

thats true, im happy i dont have to do extra work but i can't help but feel that theyre not going to see another side of me that other colleges that have supplemental essays will.

oh well i submitted it by now anyway; we'll see in april how it goes.

i think with 30,000 apps they dont wanna see a bunch of other essays
