No tab = rejection

I have not seen anyone this year get in without having the tab
has anyone so far?

If you've been on the forums for as long as I have, you will realize that this happens every year. Some people who have the tabs are rejected; others are accepted. The same applies to those who do not have the tabs.

Hopefully, a moderator will merge this and similar topics.

I agree 100% and it's maddening. So many schools are so careful as to how they release decisions (i.e. posting at 3PM on such and such a date for ALL applicants), so to learn your decision by the appearance (or lack thereof) of a tab is unsettling to say the least. I suppose getting that small envelope without expecting it is disappointing, but the drama over this tab situation has added so much stress to the waiting game.

Edit: this was a response to jacob.

I dont think anyone with the tab has ever been rejected

idk though

What is the 6th tab?

financial aid award notification

I know someone with 5 tabs but has the fin aid one
What does that mean?

I have the "financial aid award notification", but only a total of five tabs.

^^ i think that we're going with if you have the "financial aid award notification" tab then you're prob. admitted.

BUT if you don't you might be on the WL or you could get in, none of us know totally for sure.

can someone please explain this "tab" thing to me? I'm so confused what you guys are talking about.

Nothing in the mail here today in NJ

i got my acceptance letter today but maybe thats because im north jersey

Son got his acceptance letter today. Also in Northern NJ. (Yay)

Tabs for those that got accepted? Cure us.

I've pretty much given up hope for BC since I don't have the tab. No mail in North-Central New Jersey.

^^ same here. Oh the woes of being tabless. :P

Same situation, chronic :(

I never had a tab, and I got my waitlist letter today. Sorry guys, but I'm pretty sure it's a sign that you're waitlisted/rejected. I'm taking it with a grain of salt, and moving on though. Ever since my EA BC deferral, I've kinda came to terms with it all.

I applied EA (as a safety), got deferred, no tab and waitlist letter arrived today.

No biggie, I got into one of my top choices and am moving on.

Good luck to everyone!!
