no undergrad business major? confused!!

i know i'm interested in business/marketing, but Yale doesn't offer that as a major for undergrads! I have extra curriculars that show my "passion for business" - DECA officer, regional and state level awards, a rec letter, and an essay...

maybe i should just save business for grad school and just say undecided and explore other majors right now?

any advice on what i should list as my top 3 majors on the common app?

thanks! :)

most top schools do not have a specific business major in undergrad.
even wharton's official major is econ.

generally econ is the unofficial "business" major if none is offered, but most things will work. they ARE different, however, so be sure you really are interested in whatever you end up putting down.

Yea, save Penn, not many top schools have a business major...

then should i not make business a focus for my app?

Ummmm... your focus is your focus -- but you should really try to understand Yale's fundamental mission of providing a liberal arts focus. If you want you can major in Econ -- or Spanish or Comp Sci or Greek Literature -- and still be focused on business.

If you don't quite understand what I'm getting at -- just say you'll major in Econ.

Many people correlate Business and economics with each other. Keep your focus and go into econ.

Yale does not offer any pre-professional majors. They hope to offer you an education, not train you to sit at a desk.

We also have business-oriented extracurriculars, like the Yale Enterpreneurial Society. But Econ is the major you will probably want to put down, if any.
