JHU's Adam Reiss just won the Nobel Prize in physics for discovering that the universe is expanding. In addition to higher level physics classes, Dr. Reiss teaches "Stars and the Universe," which is an entry level astronomy class that any and all students can (and should) take. I was not a science major and took it for distribution requirements--it was fascinating and I'm so glad I did. An excellent professor and a really cool dude, not to mention a Nobel Prize-winning astrophysicist. Congrats Dr. Reiss!

Congratulations indeed to Dr. Reiss! Read about this early this morning.

Good science and more happening at Johns Hopkins Univerisity! We alumni are proud.

Psst… It’s ‘Riess.’

Good guy and a good class. Hope he can find the time to keep teaching it!

Sorry, especially to Dr. Riess. Very thrilled for him and Johns Hopkins Univeristy.
