1) clubs are pretty good. there are some good ones downtown but the only bad thing about them is a lot of times theres a lot of older people there. marbar is on campus (40th and Walnut) and almost all students and thats usually a lot of fun too
2) uh i have a triple with my own room so roommates arent a problem. i guess it depends who your roommate is.
3) i think the official stat for frats/sororities is about a third which i guess is a pretty big amount. a lot of people pledge but you def dont have to
4) most people pregame with hard stuff and then drink beer at parties cause thats really all they have (unless its a hotel party...then they have hard liquor at the parties also)
5) you cant really buy alcohol if youre under 21 unless you have a fake (or at least nowhere ive heard of) but if you like to drink i would definitely recommend getting a fake before you come cause its a lot easier to get alcohol and you cant get into a club without one most times
6) yeah non-frat people go to frat parties. they rarely rarely (if ever) charge you to get in unlike other colleges and most of the time theyll let everyone in until it gets too crowded. its worse if youre a guy though.

yeah that just about covers it. the roommate thing entirely depends on the roommate themself. theres no way to generalize, but i think most guys' reactions would be "well if and when i have a girl over, id want him to do the same for me"

also, so far, the whartonite stereotype has been totally wrong in my view. ive noticed that the only people who perpetuate that stereotype are college kids.

virtually everyone i know in wharton is just as fun and cool as everyone else, and they also tend to be smarter. however, one generalization i feel i can make is that a lot of the girls in my lecture are, well, scary. theyre kinda robotic and hardcore. that may just be the individual people though.

well basically the bathroom situation with freshman housing is that you share bathrooms in your hall. sometimes they even have co-ed bathrooms (like in my hall), which so far hasnt been weird or anything at all. but usually there are just mens and womens bathrooms, which have both showers and toilets.

also, roommate selection is completely random, unless you want to be roommates with some person in particular. theres no preference sheet; they just throw you in with some random person, and more often than not it works out fine.

haha coed rooms, i wish. nah, its coed floors. my room is two guys, both sets of my neighbors are girls, and the room two doors down are two guys. rooms are single sex, floors are coed.

id say hardcore is a general ivy league thing maybe? wharton is known to be competitive though, so im not surprised that some of the people are hardcore. what im saying is that i wouldnt expect it as much at a nice liberal arts-oriented school. but most of the people here are awesome

what's the intramural sports scene like? say.. for students who are very active in athletics, but are defintely a far cry from varsity sports... what's the intramural sports/club sports scene like? esp. for basketball, tennis, football.... what sports are big, and what sports are not?

im actually not sure about that. in the quad i know they had intramural flag football, but through some miscommunication, my team was never registered.

aside from that, i havent seen intramural sports yet. I think the intramurals are within college houses and such, though I'm not positive. It's not a big thing here though, compared to say Yale.

coed by floor means: 2nd floor=girls, 3rd=fellas, 4th=ladies, 5th=bois
u see?

By room means that on the (4th) floor: 401=W, 402=M, 403=M, 404=M, 405=W, 406=M, 407=W, 408=W......the last part of that was rather superfluous, but u get my point ;)

By "hardcore", i meant all y'all seem to have a heavy use of the tem "hardcore"

what do you think of the whole weather difference? some of my friends think i'm crazy to want to move from sunny california to the east coast lol
