I would like to go into IB eventually. However, coming from a non-target school, it is difficult to find one of these positions. I have an offer with Constellation Energy working in corporate finance for the summer in between my junior and senior years (undergrad). How will this look on a resume, especially compared to IB and helping me get into a top tier b-school in the future? Thanks for the advice!

Doesn’t constellation have an energy trading group in Houston? can you get into that?

Obviously IB is better but its experience to get into banking but you’ll be in Corporate Finance which is good. Since your from a non-target it will be tough to break in, but not impossible. As for b-school, I doubt they would care what internship you did in your Jr year of college unless it was something really ridiculous amazing.

EDIT:

I originally posted that and realized I may have misunderstood. Did you mean how will it look for B-School in terms of full-time?
