Hey guys, I know it’s said that UC’s don’t consider major when determining decisions; however, if I have demonstrated interest in a non-impacted major (Spanish), have lots of ECs relating to the language, and wrote one of my UC essays about it, will that be a positive on my application? I applied to Berkeley, SB, LA, and Davis.
btw I have a 4.19 UC GPA, 29 ACT, and strong ECs and essays.
UCSB snd UCD look like Match schools. UCB and UCSD would be slight reaches due to ACT. Strong essays and EC’s could help your chances. You will be finding out in the next few weeks so Good Luck.
Many UC’s do consider major when making decisions but you have selected a major in the College of L&S so it should have no impact.
