Berkeley! I also was quite impressed by WPI.

UW-Madison, though urban, can delight the eyes:
- The view from the top of Bascom Hill follows State Street to the capital building -- gorgeous.
- Lake Mendota is beautiful as seen from Union Terrace, Picnic Point, and other spots. The Lake Shore dorms offer some nice views.
- Lake Monona is the other body of water that forms the isthmus - so you've got two fairly large lakes just a mile from each other. Three lakes, if you count the smaller Wingra.
- It isn't terribly difficult to take a boat out onto the lakes for a nice view of the stars or the city and campus. It is especially easy to do so on Lake Mendota. Students can join Hoofers for that and other outdoor activities.
UCLA
i dislike the Stanford aesthetic too. The prettiest campuses I’ve ever seen are Princeton and Wellesley.
For collegiate-Gothic architecture: the usual suspects (Yale, Princeton, Duke, etc.)
For non-Gothic architecture: Rice and Scripps (both feature a Mediterranean pastoral vibe)
For natural setting: Cornell
