Non Paid Internships for Academic Credit

I am a freshmen and have just been awarded an internship working with an ABC affiliate in marketing. I am really excited except that the internship is non-paid and thus for legal rules requires that I receive academic credit from Berkeley. I didn't' think this was going to a problem until I started looking into it and realized that receiving academic credit for freshmen is nearly impossible?

Any help or advice here?
What should I do?
Who do I talk to?

Look into community course credit. Those guys give credit like nothing.

^This. Berkeley is really, really awful about giving academic credit for this sort of thing.
