Do you guys think someone can be an engineer if they are good at science (A’s) and decent at math (B)? If passion and dedication to learning how and why things work good enough to get through engineering programs ?
This is meant to be a very general question btw
Some general reading to do while you wait for new answers
Yes, this question is very similar to the linked thread and I believe many of the answers would apply to this question.
Answering the OP, I don’t see why a student who has a good foundation in math and understanding for the sciences wouldn’t get through their engineering program if they’re applying themselves, learning, and retaining the concepts and information from their classes.
Maybe. In part it depends on how much math/science you’ve had in high school. You have to survive engineering academics to become an engineer, and that’s a tough road to travel.
I would say yes. Some people start with the community college route to get a good base in math and physics. So if you don’t try and compete against others by going to a top top program that has classes graded on a curve with brainy students at the top, then you might feel less pressured to perform and can learn at your own pace.
