A non-traditional, 40+ transfer student…And I need help deciding on which school I transfer to and finish my bachelor’s at. Accepted to all the listed schools. Tuition and costs don’t make a difference between the schools. I’m hoping to go into some type of Financial Tech, what exactly, not really sure yet. I have an IT background. Way behind on math and science, so I’m going the Finance route, and maybe minor in Comp Sci. All the schools I applied as a Finance major. Any leg up to hit the ground running, at my age any boost career and salary-wise coming out of school is very big. Pretty sure I’m not going the financial planner/sales-type route. Don’t plan to live or work anywhere it’s cold. Also, assuming this is it, that I’m not going on to graduate school in the near future.
Seems like I can only find info or opinions on fintech and finanace programs for the top tier schools. After about the top 30, seems like there aren’t any opinons out there. Maybe it doesn’t really matter for someone in my situation what the school’s rep is. IDK…Looking for any suggestions, experiences, opinions, etc.
Any secondary benefits I might not be aware of at any of these schools. Am I totally wasting time debating over which school and should I just choose one based on what area I like the most…I am older, the schools aren’t top tier, there is a difference between the ‘rankings’ of the school but idk if it means anything. An old man just graduating from college looking to get his foot in the door will they really care if I graduated from #60 ranked ABC College with a degree in Finance or from #200 ranked XYZ College with a degree in Finance with a data science specialization???
Which school…???
