Nooo!

Williams College officially has one more post than Swat! This can not be!

So, I'm visiting Veterans Day weekend, tell me what fun stuff to do! Use multiple posts!

haha, well, why don't you do a little search, and see what people recommended doing during visits in the past...

Already have. Couldn't find too much on what the local area has to offer.

Are they're any cool places actually in Swarthmore? Or is it a typical suburb? Will I actually have to travel to Philly to find anything to do?

PS- I'm already doing an the on campus works: overnight, interview, info. session, sit in on a class...

If the purpose of your visit is getting to know the school, you should hang out on campus, talk to people, go to parties, etc.

If you decide to go to Swarthmore, you may find that there's enough to do on campus if you don't like going to Philly, or you may choose to go to Philly every weekend. Most Swarthmore students fall somewhere in-between.

There are some stores and few restaurants that are within walking distance, but generally it is a typical suburb.

The stores in the actual town of Swarthmore (and that's all there are, basically - stores) are not really helpful, but there is generally a lot to do on campus, so you should be able to find something you'd enjoy. If there's nothing, you could go to Philly, but that's rare - you really will find something interesting or find people to hang out with.

Take a glance at the new events calendar:

<a href="http://calendar.swarthmore.edu/calendar/EventList.aspx?fromdate=10/1/2007&todate=10/7/2007&display=Week&view=Summary%5B/url%5D">http://calendar.swarthmore.edu/calendar/EventList.aspx?fromdate=10/1/2007&todate=10/7/2007&display=Week&view=Summary</a></p>

...and see if anything is scheduled. That said, I'm not sure when Veteran's Day is—if it is a ways off, not much will be on the calendar yet.
