What if I exceed the character limit for words? @alleycat2

@MuQueen I wrote one essay on happiness, success, and failure, and then my other was the personal statement. My personal statement covered all of their suggestions.
@EmpyreanDreamer Don’t worry about your word count at all. I know one of mine was like 300 characters shorter than their limit. As for the content, I can’t really tell you what they’re looking for because, well, I’m not a judge lol. I personally like to read a creative response more than a strict essay, but both can end up bad or great depending on how they are written. I didn’t brag about myself in any of the essays. I know what I’ve done and I told the truth. The worst thing you can do is to exaggerate what has actually happened to you.
@popat123 I don’t think that’s a good idea… It’s a limit for a reason! Just find some unnecessary stuff to cut out. I know it can be hard, but if you have any big words that can be replaced by small words, that is a good place to start. Superfluous details can be removed also.

@adani8 @notvaledictorian The website is working now! Submitted my application about ten minutes ago. It started working for me around 2 AM EST, though I had the same problem you all did.

We were not I am so annoyed with this online scholarship applications that do not have enough bandwidth for the last minute rush that inevitably happens.
THEY EXTENDED THE WINDOW TO 11:59 CT! I just submitted mine.
Why would they extend??? Not enough people applied is what I’m hoping the answer is.
Probably because they had issues with the website the day before and yesterday.
