<p>I do have a few articles of North Face clothing, and in conclusion, no they really aren't worth $165. They look nice and you'll obviously fit in with one, but for the quality of the goods, they aren't $165 jackets. Point in case - I have a Denali that probably cost my mom $120 or so. Over spring break at home I picked up a fleece with a block M on it at Meijer for $20. The material is much thicker than on the Denali. Not everyone on campus is wearing one, but it is really warm!</p>
<p>If you really want a North Face jacket, I know that Bivouac price matches (even internet prices). I don't know if there is a Dick's Sporting Goods in Ann Arbor, but that is also a good place to look.
