Just wondering if anyone has some information to help a guy out. I’m a bit worried about the outside entrances, I feel like I’ll be very disconnected… Has anyone lived in these? And if so, how was it? And how much time did you spend in your room? Thanks for any information!!

What are you worried about the outside entrances exactly? I visited my friend’s dorm a couple of months ago and it looks like you are basically given a key to the main entrance or through the bathroom way (since you may share it with 10 other people). The rooms kind of reminded me of a motel 6 in a way. With a double, there seems to be more space than in the red bricks. My friend hardly stayed inside her dorm.

Superconfusedkid I had a good friend who was in North Mountain and I wouldn’t worry about the walk in rooms. It actually seemed kind of nice because you can get in and out faster and you can get away with a lot more things.

How much time you spend in your room depends entirely on what type of person you are. They outgoing social people of North Mountain didn’t spend a whole lot of time in there rooms, and if they did they often had a group of people over to pre-game for a party or watch a movie. The people that were really introverted tended to stay secluded in there rooms playing games or studying.

It’s really what you make of it, don’t be discouraged because somebody says you can’t be social in a certain dorm. They are saying that because they expected friends and connections to come to them, and while they sat waiting other people took the initiative to go out and meet new friends and have a great time.
