I think that my college decision will come down between UConn and Syracuse. I was wondering if anybody had thoughts about either of those schools, whether it be academics, social life, etc.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I understand the Syracuse is probably a better school, but it is also $18,000 more. Im just looking for whatever people think about the two. Thanks in advance! Also, feel free to private message me.

Hmmm...

If cost is a factor and there is little difference in fit, I'd say UConn is a good choice. If cost is not too much of a problem or if it is a way better fit, I'd go to Syracuse, since it it a bit smaller than UConn. But, then again, I tend to like smaller schools.

Just a quick opinion.

Bump ----->

I think reputation wise, Syracuse is better and is harder to get in to. Both are decent schools, it wouldn't be terrible going to UCONN.

Syracuse is a better school. But, do you live in Connecticut?

Syracuse is not a better school....you kids have a lot of learning to do. Each school has its specialties. For liberal arts I would go to Syracuse. For communications and architecture, I would also go to Syracuse. For Business, I would flip a coin...both are equivalent, and don't tell me syracuse, because they are ranked higher in undergrad US News...that ranking is very flawed..look it up. The MBA rankings paint a better picture of the overall program, and UConn is ranked much higher in that ranking. They shouldn't even have a ranking for undergrad. Business week is coming out with one that will be much better, but I know that too will be flawed. UConn business is unbelievable. I got into the whitman school for undergrad, but instead chose UConn business over it. For the sciences, I would def. go to UConn. Their pharmacy and medical schools are tops. For engineering, it depends on what area of engineering. Overall means nothing!!!!

In case this matters, winters in Syracuse are awful!
