Northeastern, Boston University, or Lafayette?

Hi all,

I’m having a lot of trouble choosing a school, and with May 1st approaching I’m getting more and more stressed out over my decision.

I’ve narrowed down my final 3 to Northeastern University, Boston University, and Lafayette College. I’ve made pros and cons for each school, but am still undecided because I can honestly see myself at all of them. My major for BU and Northeastern is Journalism, and at Laf it is Government & Law. I’d like to go somewhere with good academics and a good party scene also. I love the city of Boston, but can also see myself at a small school like Lafayette (which makes choosing so hard!)

I’d love any and all input on these 3 schools, if anyone has any personal experiences or info about any of them.

Thanks!

If you’d truly be happy at all 3, it may just make sense to narrow on cost. What are the net costs of each of these per year? Will any require loans?

What are your thoughts on the co-op emphasis of Northeastern? Big pro, big con, or middle of the road?

As a note, BU/Northeastern a city schools and while parties happen at all colleges, those party scenes will be nontraditional compared to the college party stereotype. Lafayette will give you the most quintessential college experience, but of course some prefer the non-traditional options of BU/Northeastern.
