Northeastern freshman housing

Hi, as a freshman at northeastern I wanted to know how the residence halls(dorms), apartments, and bathrooms in both places are in regard to cleanliness, space etc. Hopefully, someone can offer some insight into this.

Freshman year is about 99% standard doubles. Average space that doesn’t vary too much by building. Communal bathrooms by floor by gender, co-ed by floor so every dorm is mixed gender in total. Bathrooms cleanliness depends on your neighbors of course but they clean them daily etc. There are limited singles and a few rare triples which are not forced triples.

Housing is done by LLC’s (https://www.northeastern.edu/housing/living-learning-communities/) and most move around by size, so you don’t really pick your building, which is fine because there’s little to no difference. No AC but none needed except for the first few weeks when people get fans usually.

The exception is the honors housing, which is double suites connected by a bathroom, has AC, and a new building.

Basically, very standard. After freshman year, it’s all apartment style with kitchens, single/double rooms, etc with varying options in quality/price/space. Very good housing in my experience, so dorm life is only a year.

Thank you for the information, answered most of my queries.
