My son has been admitted to the above schools and is really torn. He loves the idea of working more with the 6 month Coop at Northeastern but also likes the more traditional campus’s for IU and Wisconsin. Which is the better school of the 3 for business would you say? Northeastern is going to cost a lot more but we already have the $ saved in his 529 so money is a consideration but not a big one. More wondering where he will get a better education, better job after and a good college experience.
Curious what you decided. My son is facing that same choice right now.
I’m originally from madison, wi, but I go to Northeastern, and I can definitely say I’m getting WAY more opportunities at NU than my friends at UW Madison. I have many friends in Finance at NU and they have co-oped at Disney, Goldman Sachs, and one got a full-time job at HSBC right after graduation. As an NU student, I definitely think co-ops are absolutely invaluable. Keep in mind that although NU’s experience isn’t quite as “traditional” as UW or IU, we still have many fun traditions, sporting events, an actual campus in Boston, freshman living, frats & sororities, etc. So just depends in your son values those aspects more than the co-op experience.
