So, as many of you all might know, Northeastern does not require the subject tests. I did sign up for it just in case. I'm planning to take it this November. It's not going too well though. So just to be curious, does Northeastern even look at the Subject Tests? One of the admission officers came to our school 2 weeks ago and she told us that the subject test is not required. Therefore, they will not even look at it. They won't even care if you get a 800 or 400. It's not part of the application. Is that true? I find it hard to believe, that they don't look at it. I mean, so getting a 800 on Literature is useless? Getting a 800 on Math level 2 is useless? However, that is exactly what she told me. NEU doesn't even care if you get full scores in all of the subject tests. Can anyone here verify this? Is it true? Because that is coming from the mouth of an NEU admission officer.

I’m sure that while it’s not required, it could give you an upper hand if you do well on it.

^ Thanks. That’s what I thought too. But when I asked the admission officer, she said that they won’t even consider it. No matter if you get 800 or 400. That’s why I’m a bit confused. Is she just saying that, but they actually looking at it?

why would she lie?
