Hi everyone, I’ve been accepted by BU. However, NEU is my top school.
I have little problem in the NU Applicant Form (Application Status Check). I sent my transcript to BU and NEU on the same day in February, and BU received 2-3 days later. NEU just received it yesterday due to their error (I think so); the electronic mailbox got an issue (it was solved after I emailed them).
My question is, in NU Applicant Form [NAF] they require English Proficiency, which I don’t get it because I’ve been studying in a community college for three years, so do I need to prove to submit a proof of English proficiency? Do you think the transcript contains this proof? Also, they received my transcript yesterday, so it isn’t updated yet on the website.
@colus19 I guess you are international student like me. I believe you need to study at least 4 years in the US. I’m studying in US about 6 years. I emailed them and they removed the hold in a day. I suggest you to email them not sure if they will waive the requirement.
Hey guys, this may seem like a silly question, but I have everything checked off on my application to do list for forms received except for the ‘college report’ to be submitted ‘offline by a registrar or dean.’ What exactly is this? A mid term report? I haven’t had to submit a “college report” for any of the other colleges I applied to.
I already submitted my deposit to BU, but good luck everyone. I got enough money where I didn’t want to risk hearing back in May and not having housing at Northeastern. See you guys at the Beanpot next year!
@festivalgirl You have to come your registrar and tell them. You only provide the name of school(s) (and maybe address). Then they will write some things about you and send college report(s) to your college(s).
@festivalgirl It’s basically the report from the school that says you are in good standing with the institution you are currently attending, confirming your GPA and other stats about you, what classes you took, and whether you are eligible to return to the university.
@festivalgirl Download the college report from the common app, take it to your registrar and have them fill it out… go home, scan it and email it to northeastern. *That is the quickest way to get it to them at this point. You can call them to receive the email address to send it to.
Does northeastern email you once your application is completed, meaning all of the required docs are in? Or does it say it somewhere on the application portal? thanks!
@lolowowo I never got an email, nor have I actually confirmed this with them via phone call, but on my portal all my documents have been received/completed, so I went off of that, personally.
So, do you guys think we could start hearing decisions after April 15th? That is the last day they’re accepting docs from already-applied students, so I’m just wondering.
Last year, the first wave came out on April 21st (according to the last thread). So, you can expect it to come out (most likely) earliest: April 20th. But, for sure during that last full week of April.
can anyone else not get into their portal? ive been waiting like 15 minutes and it keeps loading, my other ones work fine though so its not internet problems
just checked out the last years thread and their portal went down a week before the decisions came out so Im expecting next friday at 4ish for a decision
