<p>Um, It is not misleading to state two facts that don’t contradict each other!</p>
<p>Obivously any metropolitan city is going to have shady areas. Would you rather them just tell you the fact of the safe campus but NOT tell you about the shady parts of town. You should be thankful that they are telling you on campus. Many school orientations will just tell you “common sense” safety without telling you about the shady areas of the city which is what you should be researching on your own if you are going to live there.</p>
<p>I might say that wondering around at 2-3am in the morning unarmed is something I just wouldn’t do.</p>
<p>Standards to gain acceptance to Northeastern are generally lower than those of more highly regarded, selectives schools. However, they do provide a good co-op experience, however in this economy, many graduates are working at low paying retail type jobs, even with the co-op…your major, your dedication to the co-op, alumni connections and “who you know”, all play into the success of jobs after graduation, regardless of where you earn your undergraduate degree.</p>

<p>It’s pretty freekin underranked. Our schools valedictorian from last year is currently there and everyone thought she would get into Harvard but did not.</p>
