Northeastern University 2019 RD

@TheBigChef Students who are offered NU In likely report that as an acceptance although it does not count as a fall acceptance. I also wonder if students who are denied to a college have that entered into Naviance.

Admitted into NU in program 1340 sat and 97.7 gpa

Is it possible to get admitted into Northeastern but not your intended major?

@sd458829 No, you will be admitted or denied to the major you indicated on your application.

@TomSrOfBoston Thank you so much! Do you know what the acceptance rate is for Northeastern, including those who are admitted to NU.in?

I know this is kind of late but I just made an account on here and I thought my stats might help others in the future!!

Decision (and if deferred EA): deferred EA, Admitted N.U.in
SAT: 1360 one sitting
GPA (UW/W + Scale Info): W 4.38 (unsure of UW) with 4 APs and 8 classes at a MA state university
State/Country: MA
Major: Civil Engineering
Did you apply for FA?: Yes
Other: Submitted additional recommendation from college professors upon deferral, toured NU twice, engineering specific tour at NU, legacy (brother is currently studying engineering and also participated in N.U.in)

Congrats to all that got in!

Comment if u are doing NUin for sure!

Accepted! Biology and Mathematics! Will probably be attending Harvey Mudd or Johns Hopkins, but good luck to the NU class of 2023!

Random question, just out of curiosity: Are waitlisted students on the waitlist for NU.in, regular fall admission, or both?

@xinabess Waitlist students are for Fall admission as far as I am aware

Did anyone receive a Northeastern Raise Scholarship?

NOT RaiseMe…

Decision - Accepted, Honors Program (I received the decision in February)
SAT - 1540 (Superscore)

3 APs, IB Diploma Program

State - MD
Major - Environmental Engineering
FA - Yes

I still havent gotten my decision and since the 13th I haven’t been able to log in to my portal. It basically says I don’t exist when I try to log in. Help???

@avocadotoastyum Call Northeastern admissions tomorrow morning.

I 100% agree. In fact, I didn’t mention that fact to admission counselors because it doesn’t matter. I talked about all the project I’ve undertaken using CS. I’ve been programming since I was 11 and I’ve only learned new languages when I needed to, but I’ve learned a lot of languages over the years (I’m also counting stuff like HTML). I specialize in using Java and C++, but I much prefer Java.

Did anyone else get accepted into NU as a health science major? I’m looking to go into medicine, and I’m wondering if being a health science major is a good choice for taking the medicine route.

I got into health science and business administration! My friend just went to the admitted students day yesterday for her environmental science major and she says that they were told that 75% of the premed kids are in the college of sciences, so I’m assuming the other 25% are scattered throughout Bouvé and engineering. Not sure what this means in terms of how good being in Bouvé is but hopefully someone more experienced can elaborate.

@stressed2019 @Bishoptoaster I’m no expert on medical school and undergrad major choice, but it’s worth noting that you can be “premed” in just about any major. The only thing that defines “premed” is taking the needed prerequisites for medical school which can be done from many majors, not just COS/Bouve/COE. If health sciences are your interest then it should be a good option IMO, but again, I’m no premed expert. That might be a question better for the premed forum.
