If NUin doesn’t happen, they might offer them spring admission instead of having them on campus for the fall.

Who are you talking to? and about what? If you want people to understand, DO NOT HIT “REPLY”!!! Hit “QUOTE”.
Anyone know if it’s hard to get into the nursing program at northeastern? just to prepare myself mentally
All majors are hard to get into, but health sciences especially so yes
Decisions will probably be released on Tuesday or Wednesday I’m assuming, but more likely Wednesday. I highly doubt they will release on Ivy Day.
Anyone who has submitted a LOCI, did you submit it through the portal or email admissions directly? Also, how much do you think major affects decisions? I initially applied with intention of majoring in Biology but I submitted a request to change to Pharmacy.
I’m a fellow pharmacy major haha, anyways I submitted my loci through the portal, but also sent it to my counselor just to make sure she got it, I think a really well written LOCI can definitely show your passion and sway a decision! not writing one isn’t terrible, but it doesn’t show them that you’re very interested, I remember reading somewhere that majors aren’t taken into considering very much unless it’s a major within Bouvé college (which pharmacy is) so it will be definitely competitive
Was everyone required to send Northeastern official test scores?
I applied as an International Student enrolled in a full IB Diploma Program, and NEU didn’t allow me to submit any official standardized test scores.
@thefemalecurry35 American students are required to submit test scores. International students cannot submit scores.
Guys i am an international student from turkey. I applied to the business undecided program but thinking that i might get rejected since my math is bad and BU rejected me for the same major. Thinking to request a major change to communication studies and graphic and information design major tomorrow (3/23). Do yall think it would affect my chances of getting in since this major has less to do with math. Assuming that decisions are already made so would they reevaluate my application 2 days before the possible decision release date ?
If they end up telling NUin students that they cannot start until January without any Fall semester under their belt (be it abroad or in Boston), they would need to make that announcement before May 1st. An announcement after May 1st would cause an issue as those NUin students not wanting to start in January would’ve already declined offers from other colleges.
I meant, was everyone required to send in official test scores directly from the testing agency? When my mom called Northeastern admissions, the lady said that I only needed to send in unofficial test scores. But when I emailed the admissions assistant and provided my NU ID, the admissions assistant said I needed to send it through ACT anyways. To me, it doesn’t make any sense since they say on their website that they only need unofficial test scores; but they will need the official test scores once admitted. Does they by any chance mean I will be admitted or no?
@thefemalecurry35 I’m pretty positive we had to send official test scores to NU. I’ve misplaced the spreadsheet, but in my head I have it as an official test score school. So, I’m agreeing with @TomSrOfBoston Iv’e not had personal experience with a school not receiving a official test scores if required, but I do know my friend, way back in the 90s was rejected by Washington U bc they never got her scores (was ok bc she ended up at Cornell). I hope it works ok for you.
@thefemalecurry35 Hmmm I just went to the NU admissions page and saw the same thing as you. Not sure if that changed from before or if we just sent his official scores in because we knew he was applying there and didn’t check the admissions site first way back when he took the SAT. But, I’m definitely seeing what you are seeing.
@Scholar5424 Thanks for posting your comment about NU.In ED/EA admitted students impact on RD acceptances. In your opinion, do you think that NEU will treat EA admitted students that have already accepted and made their deposits differently from the admitted students that are waiting for more info? I’ve really debated about making the deposit to secure a space - wherever that turns out to be. What do you think?
Does anyone know if they scrapped the ContINue program at NU?
Also does anyone know if you apply as a Theatre major (College of Arts and Media) you could still be accepted into the General Studies program if your GPA/SAT isn’t up to snuff for your intended major?
US HS students do need to submit SAT/ACT scores, but self-reported scores are OK for admissions and scholarship considerations. However, if you are accepted and you decide to attend, then you must submit official scores.
HS students outside of the US: no SAT/ACT scores needed/considered.
See under “Application Requirements” section on this page. I do not believe this has changed. NEU is also in multiple lists of “Self-Reporting OK” colleges, so it’s known as such at least since the beginning of this application cycle:

@TomSrOfBoston @Charlie2772 The lady in admissions told my mom, not knowing my NU ID or name, that I only needed to self report my scores. She said that they would only need my official scores once admitted. I was just wondering if it meant anything.
