Northeastern University Early Action / Early Decision for Fall 2023 Admission

Hi, for D’Amore McKim School of Business, there are core business classes including intro to business, intro to marketing, financial and managerial accounting, financial management, international business, supply chain, etc totaling to about 10 required core classes. Then, with the concentration you select (ex: Finance) you take 4 more courses tailored to that, and same goes for adding minors. NUPath is the general electives that are required in addition for every student and have a lot of options for each category. Examples of those categories would be Creative Expressions, Differences and Diversity, but many students only have a few of those to complete if coming in with transfer credits. Hope this helps!

If they don’t release decisions today after all this, I’m gonna be so mad.

Can someone translate the TikTok for the old people in this thread?

Yeah, I’m jealous. I don’t have access and he’s terrible at checking his portals regularly. Meanwhile, he gets mad at me for nagging him about them. He just got home from school 15 minutes ago and went straight online to gaming with friends. We have approx 10 more colleges of this to go through! It’s going to be a long spring.

“We cant wait to make memories with you.”

There appears to be “movement” (not unlike constipation). Sorry about that.

They’ve already made some “memories” with us, haven’t they?

With our student we found a balance. Never share email. But shared login for Common App/College Board only so that we can easily track FAFSA/CSS etc. But College portals not shared. This way he responds to college emails but we make sure the IDOC reminders don’t get missed.

Thank you so much! Best of luck to you too!

For ED only your first choice option is binding. They may accept you via Nu.in or global scholars, but then it becomes non-binding.

i’ve reloaded my portal so many times that i think I’m genuinely going to scream when there’s a status update.

My son did share his common app access with me since I work at a university and used to work in admissions. I think he wanted my advice early on but then decided to cut me off once he was confident he knew what he was doing. And we made a deal that he wasn’t allowed to submit any apps without my looking over them first after I caught some ridiculous mistakes (like his wrong birthdate) on the first one he did. He thought filling out the apps was a race. I’d find lots of little mistakes and inconsistencies.

has anyone received a decision today? anxiously waiting in ny…

We follow the same exact thing. Told our student that he have us review one quick time, before the ticker tape celebration in Common App when one submits the app. Always in a rush to see that lol. But it is a nice thing in Common App to celebrate when an app is done.

Do emails come out stating that the portal has been updated or do we have to chronically refresh the portal😭

In the past there was an email but it would come out about 15 minutes after the decision was posted.
