Does anyone know what the general education classes are for NU Business school? Are language, science, and history courses required or is it all business courses? Thank you.
The core requirements are called NU Path

I donāt think we know the exact enrollment target for the Fall freshman class in Boston, but I donāt think it would be as high as 4000. I would guess that their target is closer to 3000 or maybe 3500, and some of that class has already been admitted through ED.
Last yearās enrollment target was 2500, but that was lowered from their normal 3000-3500 target because of overenrollment in the previous year.

The decision letter is a PDF. Will be viewable on an iPhone without any issue.
Ok and any hints before opening like labeling āWelcome letterā or anything or just says admission letter for all and you donāt know until opening?
Itās supposed to be visible on all devices. But will it be? Who knows! I predict glitches based on how the past few days have been.
I donāt remember the exact wording but itāll say something like āa decision is availableā. Something non-specific like that. Youāll not know what the decision is until you read the letter. The first word in the letter gives it away (for all the colleges we have experience with).
If you are a parent, let your child visit the portal first. There was a big banner when my son first visited the portal.
Does anyone know if CT would be included in the first wave if it does release by location?
Does Northeastern offer a lot of NUin opportunities for ED or ED2 applicants? Curious to see how many did/will get that with the binding option compared to EA
I cant believe how many parents have access to their kidās application portals. I have to yell at the goofball to check his email and portals!
Thanks for that heads-up. I definitely want him to be the first to get the news! Was hoping to maybe record him opening it (will probably be tears either way depending on the decision) but this is his final decision and happens to be his top choice!
I do not have access either! But my son checks the portals quite often.
Good luck to your son! I hope it goes his way.
Yes! Iāve been surprised by that too. Iām a parent and I have never even seen the common app. My son also never showed me any of his essays So I certainly donāt have access to his portals
To be fair im the student and tried to show my parents my essays, college list, etc and neither of them ever looked haha
We learned our lesson with my daughter. She almost missed an extra $4K merit award, unsolicited, from one of her top choice schools in the final month before decision day For my son, he decided to get a new gmail account for common app schools only. He said heād check weekly but asked if I could remind him or let him know if I saw any impt messages he needs to open (I told him I would just look at the headlines.) He told me heād share his portal info but to let him be the one to look when an email indicated a decision. So we seem to have a good system, especially since heās so busy he definitely doesnāt check that email once a week! He knows NU is coming out soon so Iām sure heāll check obsessively after his pit orchestra practice. Lol.
My son also has full control of his email and portals, but Iām also learning that I think we are missing emails such as what was referenced about merit aid. While I love that he has full control over this process, it is very frustrating and I feel as if heās not on top of everything like I would be. Iām definitely going to do something differently with my other two kids.
